What many women don't realise is that our nutrition needs shift as we hit the perimenopause years  - adjusting your nutrition and lifestyle to meet these changing needs can help you navigate the negative health risks that come with this time such as reduction in bone density and muscle mass, reduced insulin sensitivity and overall metabolic health, increases in body fat mass, changes in gut microbiome, mental health and mood symptoms and more. Nutrition strategies may even help reduce physical symptoms like night sweats and hot flushes.
